Tox already has tried to get me in a room, and I turned him down faster than a minority trying to get a bank loan.

And remember, guns don't kill people, dangerous minorities do.

Ya, be careful IPW, Tox unfortunately gave me his card AFTER the relations took place.....

espn reporting Mitchell may sign with a team in the next hour

/team 1040 Matt Sekeres saying canucks showed alot of last minute heavy interest because they think Salo might end up like Trent Whitfield and be gone for good this year

Reported by Gord McIntyre from UBC:

Willie Mitchell — out for his first informal skate at UBC Monday with several Canucks — doesn't look as though he's still suffering any side effects from last January's concussion: He stepped into a slapshot at the blue line and shattered the glass behind the net.

Kudos to the person who hung the Malkin picture behind the goal :D

Is moving Bieksa essential to signing Mitchell??? I am as ignorant on the Canucks cap situation as I am educated on the Caps....

pretty much

to decode the cryptic Jason Botchford:
if the canucks re-sign Mitchell ... the losers on Mitchell will inquire about Bieksa

I've been hearing Salo might not be back until at least December, so that has to factor in to the Mitchell situation, at least on the Canucks side.

Gillis was on TSN and said Burrows and Salo will be on IR to start the season (Burrows for a month) ... He categorized Salos injury as severe and a december return would be best case scenario

I dont know how Bruin Trent Whitfield can be out for the year with an achilles tear and a 36 year old chronically fragile Sami Salo has any chance of playing this year with the same injury ... does not compute to me

No kidding. I don't get that either.

So if we do get Mitchell, then what's going on with Flash. It's reported he will be moved, but then who?

It could also be Steckel or Chimera moved, neither of which would make me happy. I would be especially pissed if we lost Chimera, with our lack of nastiness on this team. I would imagine it could be for anothe rblueliner or a #2 center. Signing Mitchell would open up either option. If Mitchell resigns in Vancouver, the trade would have to be for D....Bieksa would be my guess.

From what I read (And I can't find the damn link ) Flash is more likely to get moved than Steck or Chimera. If we do get Mitchell, it still looks like they would be interested in maybe getting a defenseman. Wouldn't be Bieska obviously, but someone else. Sheldon Souray was a possibility.
