Somebody help me figure out my Chargers

Reviewing the latest ESPN power rankings, I was dumbfounded by the following:

Chargers have 4 wins against playoff teams: Indy, Denver, KC, and Philly. 3 of those were on the road.

They have 3 losses against the last 3 teams in the power rankings: Oakland, Washington, Houston.

New coaching staff? Young team? Injuries? Took them half a year to shake the bad karma that a decade of Marty and Norv brought with them?

Which excuse should I hang my hat on in all the family football discussions over the holidays?

wish i could. i don't remember a year when there were so many teams that were completely erratic from week to week. it's now odd if a team is consistent.

Your takeaway is that if they had beaten the Redskins- when they thought they got a TD, then coudln't gain three inches against the worst defense in football- cost them their playoff spot this year. Shitty, but that's football.
