Trading Coop isn't dumb. Trading Coop for Love is idiotic. I understand a GB Fan wanting that trade though.

I wouldn't call $20Mt cheap for Cooper because he just isn't on the same level as some other elite WRs, but let's say for this scenario he is. It's not just paying him $20M, it's $20M PLUS a #1. It's one thing to give a FA WR $20M, it's another to trade a #1 pick and then also pay a huge contract. Now technically a team that trades for him could in theory get off cheap by getting him for half of his $10M salary this year and $20M next year and then cut him with no dead money. But would you give up a #1 for a year and a half of a guy and $20M next year?

I know we gave up a 1, but I'd take a 2 for Coop. It gives cap relief and with Lamb, Gallup and Wilson Dallas is still stacked at WR.

If Jerry were to trade Gallup it would be a clear indicator that he’s either lost his mind (can’t dismiss the possibility) or he’s in a “Blow It Up” mode. Gallup is cost certainty + talent. You don’t get rid of that unless you are either the Texans or rebuilding.
