So Denver just said the hell with Russell Wilsons contract and are taking the hit ????

I guess though you would have to be sure your rookie QB was going to succeed. We dont really have Sean Payton.
Worked out nicely. Nix is a player

Golden sports radio tonight. Charles Haley was the guest on the Fan's Cowboy Hour. Charles remains all about telling it like it is and was.

When the discussion moved to the current team, Haley was all about the team stars. He made this statement when the topics had been Diggs, Parsons, and Lamb.

"These guys don't love the game, they're just good at it. They don't even know the guy next to um's wife or kids names."

@ROMOTOOWENS

I always thought the 2007 Cabo playoff game was when you and I differed. I think I mighta been way over the top about the role of leadership. I'm sorry.

Yep espn days. lol
long time voicing football opinions with many of you. Most always fun.

I now realize I am dirt old school on effort and responsibilities towards team and one's role on said team.

Charles is 100% correct but that shit is yesteryear.
The game is a whole different animal now.

No honour anywhere any more, across the board, top to bottom.

Sadly it’s a whole different world.

No case being made, when he was a Seahawk I was never a fan of his,

And his Denver years were forgettable.

But he has some of his mojo back and making Pitt and Pickens look good. Nothing wrong with that.

No apology needed at all. We have all differed on our opinions at some point. The thing was we really didnt differ on that. I knew it wasnt a good look for Romo, but he was my guy and I had to protect him. I got caught up in the underdog story with him and he will go down as my all time favorite Cowboy. Thats saying a lot since ive been a fan since the late 70s. Yes many Cowboy greats and I happen to pick the one that would drive us crazy with some of the things he did Heck he may not even be in the top 50 Cowboys of All Time. I actually just googled it and some publication had him at 21st. Im sure on some peoples list he may not make the top 50 though. For some reason though , I just had the glasses for him. I think it was more that he gave us hope again. There was a time in the 90s that i could have seen our team go undefeated if healthy. I mean it was a shock to me when our team lost. Then the late 90s, early 2000s came and I was worried we might not win a game , especially after Aikman. The Tuna gave me a little hope especially after watching him take the team with Quincy to the playoffs.

The Tuna. - another big reason why i loved Romo. My dad was a huge NY Jet fan. He loved Parcells. I remember it was Romos rookie year in one of the last preseason games. They stuck him in. He was probably 4rth string on the verge of being cut and sent to New Orleans. He led the team back doing crazy things and they won. I dont even think he dressed out that year.

2006 - Parcells let him start and play the whole first preseason game in Seattle. He looked really good. I remember telling my dad I think he is better than Bledsoe. My dad just laughed and said anybody can look good in preseason. He said Parcells would never turn on Drew because Drew was a Parcells guy. Bledsoe started rough that year and then it hapoened on Monday night vs the Giants. Bledsoe played awful the first half. The Tuna went with my guy in the second half. I think the second play Romo was in he hit the LB in the head with a pass and it ended in a pick 6. Lol. My dad called and poured a little salt in the wound. Ha. He got better as the game went and ended up starting after that. Damn the memories. I love our team man.

Of course Haley was also the guy who masturbated in team meetings, took a piss in a teammates car, caused a split in the locker room for two different teams because of his constant bullying and treatment of teammates, etc. Haley was the perfect example of a piece of shit person (even if due to his mental illness) who was just "good at" football. Great, dominant, disruptive player on the field though

Zack Martin out for the rest of the season. 1st ballot HOF. It's really too bad that Tyron had injury troubles and Fred had to retire young. That would have been 3 HOFer's together for 7-8 years. Would have been right there with the 90s OL as one of the best ever

Martin been playing hurt all year. He was sort of a liability due to those injuries. I don't think it was a coincidence that the running game got better with a healthier player at RG. Credit Martin whot tried to play through it but the results were not good. The injuries were significant otherwise he would not be on IR.

If Steele continues to be a waste they should try Bass at RT. There is a real opportunity this next game to score lots of points. They need better blocking by the tackles though

I think next year the club will part with Martin and Steele. I think Guyton is moving to RT and Hoffman is playing himself into a starter at RG. I think the Cowboys will look at Richards at LT and TSmith at LG or Bass at LG and TSmith back at LT. This year is not a good tackle class
