Meh...he missed way more than he connected
Heath plays similar to how Jaylon plays right now. . An occasional wow /splash play and then give up several bad plays. Otherwise he was out of position lots and took terrible angles . I obviously liked how he hit when he did happen to connect.

Heath brought the hammer. Would have been a much better player 20 years ago , when they actually played football.
I loved Roy William's early in his career when he actually hit people. He was an expert at that horse collar tackle and i.admit I liked it when he horse collared TO . That hit the other day on Brees was a clean tackle and it was flagged. Dak gets hit like that all the time and there are no flags. Dak is just a bigger body and can absorb that type of hit.. the preferential treatment Brees,Arod,Wilson and Brady get is NBA like and nauseating.

If the current regime(s) had used him in the same manner the 90's coaches used Bill Bates, then all of those comparisons to #40 would have been very fair to the guy. Bates wasn't a starter. Heath shouldn't have been either. But because the people in charge for some damn reason insist on diminishing the role of safety on this team he didn't have much option.
I dont get the deal as to why the Cowboys dont invest in a playmaking safety. Maybe how Roy William's ended up soured them on using high picks. Andre Cisco would be a nice addition...A major ball hawk. I would use a 2nd round pick on him.

Heath was an average player that many Dallas fans used as a scapegoat. Somebody always has to be blamed. Heath received that torch from Doug Free and has now passed it to Connor Williams and Jaylun Smith. Heath has started a lot of games in the NFL for some good football teams. I doubt many people had him projected as a 10 year player in the NFL, much less a starter.
He stunk here overall but he did make a handful of splash plays

I always wanted them to go get Weddle but of course they never did. Jamaal Adams is really good but they were asking way too much at the time. Now the Steelers seemed to have gotten a steal with Fitzpatrick.

I remember you were high on Minka. I thought it was a little too much at the time to give up for him, but we have seen over the last year that it was indeed a steal for Pitt. Too bad we couldn't go back in time and grab him

Time to think about next season as this year is a trainwreck.

I hate to say it considering we have one , but Alabama DBs can be hit or miss when they get to the NFL. Fitzpatrick made so many plays in college. I don’t think he even has the great measureables as far as speed and athleticism. He is just a really good football player.

Would really love to know what they threw punches over...

who threw punches? I hope nobody did with Columbo. He is supposedly one bad dude. I think he was a big time boxer as a kid or something. I remember him getting pissed at Bobby Carpenter in practice one day and threatening to whip the shit of him.

Oh wow. I have actually liked Judge this year too. He seems like he is going to be a really good coach. Columbo wasn’t the boxer but he is known as a badass. Use to fight a lot in practice. The badass I was thinking of was Olin Kreutz. Him and Columbo both played for the Bears.

That is crazy. I remember Columbo doing nasty things after Romo was cheap shot a few times. Columbo had a mean streak.

Not sure if Columbo was as mean as Erik William's or Gogan though...if anybody did anything to Aikman or trash talked, a chop block would soon follow by one of those guys.
