Nate Sudfeld.

Colts tried to sign him off of the Eagles practice squad in 2017 forcing the Eagles to sign him. Frank Reich coached him while he was in Philadelphia as well so he is familiar with him.

And he would be a back up

The Seattle Seahawks reluctantly offer Geno Smith to the Colts for a couple of 1st rounders and maybe a 2nd or 2.

That's not fair, Geno would take them right back to the Super Bowl ...

I dunno, I actually think brissett. Can play, and I think the colts do too
I'll admit that I'm biased, but judging by what I've seen from both... The ceiling appears lower for Brissett. But Brissett is a known commodity for them, and next year's QB class looks stacked. They might just go with what they know for now and begin evaluating the prospects for next year.

He could give permission to be traded to Indy, though, right?

He's dead cap space, though. Vikes are fucked. I don't think Indy would want that contract for Cousins.
yes he could waive the no trade clause if he wanted.

Brissett had a year to learn the offense and has some weapons. He’s the best option for the colts right now. It’s not worth trading for another teams back up who will have to learn the system.

I read Pats may decide to only keep 2 QBs, Brady and Stidham, so they can keep other more important parts.

Leaving Hoyer free.

And there's always Kaepernick.....

And he would be a back up

So would everyone else in OP.

No reason to start any of those guys over Jacoby. I don't think they should trade for anyone. See if Jacoby could get it done in this contract year and either he wins the job or they head into the draft to try and get their next QB to develop.

I think that will be the best way to look at this season. Brissett knows the offense and they could properly evaluate what he is or isn't. He may fail but you never know. The team is a lot better than the one they had when he last started. And they can trade up or whatever they need to do for next years draft and find their future QB1.

The problem is that the Colts will probably go 5-11 or 6-10 with Brissett.

That doesn't sound like a problem at all when that will put them in position to either draft a QB or move up a few spots for a QB.

the vikings are ready to deal QB k cousins for 2 future 1st rounders to be determined latter and an undisclosed amount of cash Indy….
If I were the Viking I would trade Cousins for two future 1st rounders in a heartbeat.

Its kind of a catch 22 for them, though. If the QB class is good, they won't be able to move up unless a GM screws up.
