How does Doug Murray keep getting an invite? I mean, I loved they guy when he was on the Sharks. He plays angles well and he's build like a brick shithouse but he is slower than molasses dripping out of a donkey's ass. And that was when he was young. I can't imagine he is going to be able to keep up on Olympic ice.

Doug Murray is like that old comfortable shirt that is wearing down and has a few holes, but you just can't seem to part with.

Just because Lundqvist is their goalie, they'll compete, but the rest of that lineup is very solid, too.

Their defense looks very dangerous.

Honestly, I think this is the most complete roster I've seen so far. Maybe not the most talented, but the best distribution of talent across forwards, defense, and goaltenders. They won't be the best at anything, they just won't have an major exploitable weakness.

Deep, balanced lineup, but missing the deadly clutch power of years past with guys like Lidstrom and Forsberg.

Yeah, I was really thinking the Russian and Canadian squads are heads and tails above all others for these upcoming games, but damn the Swedes have a pretty sick squad. They could definitely come home with gold or silver.

The other nice thing is that if they get in trouble in the Olympic village, you know who their dad is.
