That is about $2.4M.... is that enough to get the team under the cap after the LTI for Salo and Burrows? If not... somone else has to go ..... Or is it making cap space for Mo or Schaef.... and KB is still on the outs?? Too many possibilities... the brain fries.......

according to the capgeek calculator, that leaves room for Mo (at about $1m) and Schaef (at near min).
I didn't bother taking Burrows out, but did take Salo out.


from what i saw in camp, Alberts deservedly took SOB's job.
Hordi couldn't stop taking dumb minors.
this would be another opportunity for me to mention how I'd like to see Glass gone, too.

though obviously I don't know the ins and outs of the LTIR... this story says they needs the hurt guys on the roster, under the cap to take advantage of LTIR

why would anyone trade for SOB when the canucks need to shed salary and everyone knows it. Gillis could have tried and built a market for the guy saying I have this team interested do you want to give me something for him but if Im another GM Ill call that bluff ...its a 5th or 6th dman making 1.6 mill

its kinda like the CFL where noone trades for anyone ... they just wait til the guy gets cut and picks him up

the contenders are pretty much all up against the cap and the non-contenders have self imposed budgets ... so what could he do?
