Brasky,

I am right there with you. Their quarterback was soft. He took two good hits and was out. But because he was injured? No because those hits hurt. He was fine he just didn't want to get hurt again. That is the definition of soft. If it's talking shit so be it but as long as you put someone on the field that comes off because they're hitting to hard people are gonna say he's soft. Man up or sit on the sideline and take the shit your gonna get.

Driaz,

As far as them wanting it more I don't know where you see that at. Did Martinez dropping the ball on the first snap of the game have anything to do with Wisconsin wanting it more?
Did Burkhead running into the back of one of our line men have anything to do with them wanting it more. That gave them the ball in the red zone. Boom 7 points, nothing to do with their want.

Did running into the kicker like you were going for a sack have anything to do with their wanting it more? No but it gave the ball back to them with great field position after our defense had stopped them.. Boom 7 more points with nothing to do with their want or their skill.

And then a pass interference on 3rd and long that would have never been a catch. Give the ball back with great field position again. Boom 7 more points that had nothing to do with their want to win.

That was 21 points that we gave them on a platter. ANd how many points did they have? Yeah I thought so.

This had nothing to do with them being a team that wanted to win more or being a better team.

We came back and won that game after imploding because 1. we wanted to win more and 2. we are a superior team.

So please don't come out here with this we didn't want it bull shit. Yeah they fucked up but they won after giving 21 points a way because they wanted it more.

And finally not only LOL at Staves "Coach that hurt" but LMAOOL at Montaaaaaaay Ball. Steinkuhler stepped up and planted him for a loss over and over in that second half.

I remember seeing Taylor skip a lot of footballs like rocks out their last night so maybe Gilbert was right. Taylor played ok in my opinion but if he throws some of those skip passes in catchable places then we win the game by double digits.

At least 3 or 4.

But I give Taylor the game-ball for hanging in there when collapse was eminent. He's fortunate to have a SOLID cast of receivers.

Enunwa got robbed on that catch at the end of the game. He had control of the ball, his knee had touched and the ground caused the fumble as he was trying to extend the gain. A sure 7 that NU left on the field.

Trust me when I say this.......we could have beat that team by at least 3 tds and we wouldn't have had to do anything really spectacular to do it.

We were the better team.......we simply fucked up time and time again in the first half.

Taylor was outstanding last night in the 2nd half. So was Ameer and Rex.

And how about thay fuckin D last night?! Seriously they came to play in the 2nd half. Steinkuhler was unlike I've ever seen him before......guy wanted to win. It was awesome to watch!

I actually made notes in the first half that once again the Meredith and Steinkuhler names were unheard as if they were absent.

They both made plays in the 2nd half. I won't count on them until I see multi-game persistence.

The entire team played great in the second half. It also didn't hurt that Wisconsin just didn't have the depth on the lines so they wore down pretty heavily in the second half.

Good points, and I agree with you. Saying Wisconsin wanted it more is incorrect. I was trying to talk to the discipline that they showed where we didn't show as much. ie the turnovers and penalties. The fact that we didn't hang our hat and fought out a tough come from behind victory in the second half shows that the Huskers wanted that game.

I guess I just let Brasky's antics get to me last night. If he wants to act like OD, that's well within his rights. I just don't have to like it that we have such an outspoken douchebag like OD in our fan base.

Guess I missed his antics. I did see where Gilbert tweeted noise about our quarterback and to his defense he did a back it up a couple of times with a few good hits but it definitely wasn't the hit after hit he promised.

And his tweets opened him up for responses in my opinion. I haven't looked at what Brasky may of said outside the Nebraska forum but with that said what I have seen here I don't find out of line at all. Any responses from him shooting his mouth off are warranted including comparing their qb to ours since he was dissing ours.

Kudos to Martinez. He has grown into a cool leader of our offense and if all you can see is him skipping rocks (not you but Gilbert) than he (and others) should expect people to talk about him like a fool.

The discipline comments, you are right on. Wisky is a very well coached disciplined team. We did not have the discipline the first quarter and that seems to be a pattern. Somehow Pelini needs to learn how to talk them up to get the passion required for a big game while not losing the fundamentals that are also so important.

I can take a few here and there in the name of emotion but the pass interference could of easily been the same hit and an interception if Stafford (I think it was) had just gone for the ball instead of the receiver.

The running into the kicker was loaded with emotion but I was like "How stupid can you be you idiot. If you played pop warner you know better than that!"

Any way I guess I am saying I get what you are saying about the discipline but we definitely wanted to win that game more and all I can say about that is thank God we had that desire which we so often seem to fall flat without.
