Q: If Seattle loses...will you be here? His wrath will be biblical.

Yes, but I have not dissed any team he roots for. There is a difference.
Why do you want to know if I will be here or not?

I guess we will see how good Denver run D is eh?

I think this is where the game will be decided honestly. If Denver slows down the run, they win. If Lynch has a big day, they lose. :2cents:

Damn, dumpster fire? I don't think so, I got no dog in this fight as usual, but Denver will be better than that.

You know this, Pryor threw for 281 and rushed for 36 and threw for 207 and rushed for 49 in his two games against DEN, they are not better than a dumpster fire.

None of that is relevant to the post you quoted. The reason he brought up Moreno's numbers was to counter the ridiculous claim that Denver's offense was one-dimensional. Of course Seattle may keep Denver from accomplishing much on the ground, but that still doesn't mean that the Broncos offense is one-dimensional. In fact Denver was 15th in the NFL in yards per game.

Besides, even if Denver was one-dimensional, that obviously doesn't mean they can be easily shut down. We are talking about the highest scoring offense in NFL history. The fact that you've got this great offense going up against this great defense is what makes the matchup so intriguing; but anyone who claims this will be an easy win for either team I think is either greatly overestimating their own team or greatly underestimating the other.
I'm not sure most of our fans think they are going to blow out Denver, and many are nervous about it either way. I have no doubt Manning gets his passing yards, but I will really be surprised if they go 100y rushing.
But Denver isn't a run first team. Seattle can't afford to stack the box to stop the run. They will rush 4, maybe send 5 and then play either press man or a 3 deep zone with a rover to try and slow down the BEST PASSING THREAT the NFL has eve seen.

Manning is the best at Audibling into the right play. Seattle does not disguise what they do on defense. They commit to stopping the run, a receiver is open. They drop 7 into coverage, Denver runs the ball.
Seattle doesn't stuff the box. That's not how they defend. Actually surprised to see you say that honestly. The reason they have been so effective is they rely on team speed and technique over coverage changes to win their match ups. How many Seattle games have you seen? Hell, it isn't uncommon for our Safety to come all the way from his backfield and blow up a runner for no gain or even a loss. And that's not even talking about the LB's and their hitting.

I'm not making any outrageous claims. I still think Denver will live and die by the passing game and will find their opportunities to break open some plays in it here and there. While I could be wrong, I just don't see them burning Seattle with their rushing.

Seattle has to have the run to win. If they don't rush over 100y and either abandon the run or simply aren't making anything out of it in the second half they won't find enough scores to keep up in anything resembling a shootout. I just don't think the same is true the other way.

How many games have they won against offenses as good as Denver's?

I see where you are going with this question because they have not faced the #1 offense, but they embarrassed the #2 offense, so that should tell you something.

And Wilson threw for 310 yards against their defense, which again is better than your dumpster fire.

You haven't learned by now how obsessed she is with Seattle fans?

If Seattle loses she will be running around dumping on everyone with a hawks icon and saying I told you so.
If Seattle wins she will be running around making excuses why they still should be given respect and why our fans still are always wrong. No way she gives any credit to the team earning that win. It will be about the refs or something else.

Book it.

That was more directed at STBR27 who is obviously clueless.

I think the rest of your assessment is spot on.

At least I have actually watched Denver's games, so I do know what I am talking about, you have just looked at the box scores and are making assumptions from them...sad part is that you do it about your own team too.

The Seahawks didn't play the #2 offense this year, whether you go by yards (Eagles) or points (Bears).

It will be the Seahawks fans, but I don't think we will gloat for more than a day or two.

hmmmmm

quite a few Hawks fans have been gloating all season long - why stop a day or two after the Super Bowl??

I didn't see much of it after beating our biggest rival last week. Not like they went on and on about it and that is the team/fans we all hate more than any other. If there was a time we would, that would have been it.

Despite a couple of Denver fans up here, I have no dislike for their team or the rest of their fan base. If Seattle wins we will all be way too excited and living in the moment to even think about dumping on their fans. I'm sure there will be a few posts from a couple of the usual suspects, but I can't see it going on or coming from many.

NFL Game Rewind, cost me $40 to find out Denver has a dumpster fire for a defense, money well spent. Now if I could just convince you to watch one Seahawks game...oh well, your first can be on Sunday and you will see exactly what I already know.

You are right, we'll be here to get harrassed by Packers fans still upset about the Fail Mary, Steelers fans still defending their SB XL win, 49er fans that just hate us and Broncos fans trying to figure out how the best offense ever was shut down.

Should be a glorious week!!!

I am not saying they stuff the box. They won't be able to is my point. Manning is the absolute master at calling the right play for what the defense is giving him.

Seattle typically will rush 4, occasionally 5 and drop at least 6-7 into coverage pressing the WR at the line of scrimmage and depending on the down and situation play a 3 deep zone with a rover or play a mix of zone coverage and man on one side (Probably Sherrnan).

If no one is open on his first 3 reads, Manning will check down to a RB or TE and with only 4 rushing there will be running lanes open. Moreno has been deadly doing this. An easy 6-10 yards.

They will run bunch formations and crossing routes and that will also open up running lanes and play-action will be a good call or audible into a run if the defense shows deep zone coverage.

And here in bold we have a contradiction.

On the one hand you're saying that Packer fans have no excuse about that game because of bad reffing..

Then on the other you're saying that you Seahawks fans have a legit gripe.

Is your point that ONLY Seahawk fans get to whine about bad officiatting?

I have the Sunday ticket. I knew Seattle, SF or possibly NO were the top teams in the NFC and I recorded them all.

I have seen every Seattle game this season.

Has nothing to do with officiating or who was the recipient of the good or bad side of the call, it has to do with fanbases that routinely troll Seahawks fans.
