With the "talent" they had, they finished 7-9.

I think the injuries were a big issue obviously last year. That being said, if we can grab about 3 solid FAs and get 2 rookies to start, I think we can improve a game or two. I honestly think it will come down to establishing a running game and getting more pressure on the QB. The Eagles just proved you can win with signing multiple good free agents. Hopefully we do the same.

Well we won 7 games last season in the most injury riddled season I have ever seen. If we don’t win more in 2018, it is obviously a downgrade. Even if we win more, there will likely be reasons having nothing to do with Alex Smith.

How am I hating?? Im holding him to the EXACT same standard that was established the past three years. You are just moving the goal posts as you have been want to do over the past three years. According to you and many others Smith is n upgrade over Cousins. So I dont expect we need to give him these major upgrades that they didnt give Cousins.

Now I do expect them to give Smith a more established WR and not two projects. I expect them to get a better RB and again not a project and a rookie. I expect them to continue to address the defense which really only started last year.

So with all these expected improvements, and a QB you proclaim to be an upgrade... 11-5 and the Division title as well as playing in the Divisional round of the playoffs is what SHOULD be acceptable. Anything less considering he will have a better team around him and a better QB, and it was a failure.

Bullshit. We have zero threats at WR. Tyreek Hill is the most dangerous weapon in football. Kelce is far better than Reed. Chris Thompson was a five game surprise. I am betting he won’t be the same.
