This is going to look bad coming from a Heat fan, but I would defend any player in the NBA on this (and have on many occasions). I guess you could say I am a flop apologist.

I don't know why so many NBA fans, commentators, and analysts alike think that they can measure the intent of a reaction, using only their eyes and a slow-motion replay, with any amount of accuracy.

There are so many factors that cannot be determined by simply watching a reply: reflex, momentum, balance, slippery floor, etc (speaking of flops in general not just this incident).

I cannot understand why people think that a person who has an elbow flying at them millimeters from their face should somehow be able to defy their body's urgent impulse to jerk the head away.

To warrant a warning, or fine, or suspension a flop MUST be extremely egregious. This comes nowhere close to that, IMO.

I have defended floppers as well. After all, 2 of the greatest floppers in NBA history were Lakers (Vlade and D-Fish).

Ya, I am sure I would have posted that he was flopping regardless if he was called for the foul or not. The main thing is just that he's the best player in the world and he flops all the time. I never said it was ok. What I did say is that flopping doesn't only happens on defense. Just about every scorer in the league flops when driving to the basket with either a head jerk or yell to get the call. If you don't think every player in the NBA never try to sell a call you're an idiot

Sometimes, but that isn't their fault.They are trying to stop him. What LeBron does, he DOESN'T HAVE TO DO. But he does it anyways. He's just a cheap playerin that regard, and the fact that he already has the skills to dominate, why does he do it? Maybe the thing is, he doesn't have the skills and he really does need to flop. I don't know. I'd love to respect LBJ, but I can't. And his Heat teammates are no better, for the most part, with all the cheap shit they pull, too.
