Large, new oil field discovered on Alaska's North Slope <---- I've been walking on air after seeing this piece the other day.

I got linked to this site from a Rivals poster on another board. This seems like a nice board. So how's work going on the platforms?

Work is good now... We had some lay offs about 6 months ago... Thank goodness I didn't get caught up in that but things are slowly coming back as oil prices come back...

My company just bought out another company which is going to double our production so I'm expecting some more changes (for the good) in the coming months as we take those platforms over and man them.. Wouldn't be surprised if I was moved to a different platform but I don't give af which platform I'm on as long as they want me Plus they are all the same for the most part... If you can run 1 platform you can run them all...
