Seen a lot of different variations on his contract. Some say that the opt out is a hurdle to a trading partner. But it can be negioated by the receiving team. The one question I've seen a few times is interesting ...

Seems that Snell has a 17M signing bonus tied into the 2025 contract. Also saw some chatter that the 17M has to be picked up by the original team ... it can't be passed to the trading partner. If that's true we only see a 14M savings ...
Can anyone clarify exactly what we will or won't save ...

Per Cots, his 17M bonus has already been paid. His salary for ‘24 was TECHNICALLY 15M (with a 17M signing bonus). His option year (which he controls entirely) is a 15M salary with a 15M deferred payment to 7/1/27. That payment triggers upon his activating his option, so I would guess that whomever “owns” his contract as he triggers the option would be responsible for that 15M payment.

I think that's right. We trade him, we have to pay $15M for the privilege.

Bring me Melton.

I think Blake needs to change his last name to Snelk as the thread title suggests.

Your Delta Tau pledge name is now.....

SNELK.

"Snelk? Why Snelk?"

/burps

Why not?
One of my pledge brothers was “named” “Flounder” because of that movie.

Of course, I suspect most houses nationwide had a “Flounder” every 4 or 5 years, so…
