Apparently turned himself into authorities today on the gun charges.

so I guess he is done

I was thinking just the opposite. He's out of rehab and out on bail for the charges. Perhaps he can play?

Don't think he plays against the Panthers but I fully expect him to play against the Saints

Yes. They could really use him in that game. Brees struggles with a pass rush in his face. Left alone in the pocket he will eat the 49er D alive. Gotta pressure him and Smith can help a lot with that.

Maybe not to start and play the whole game but he would defiantly be able to get in on at least half the plays plus he is a world class athlete that has two weeks to get back in football shape he should be fine.

You suck for not using the title "All done with rehab?"

I'm sure he was able to do things to keep himself relatively in shape while in rehab.

Training camp is where players get into shape and during the season they just maintain it. So long as he wasn't sitting around doing nothing and eating junk food I would imagine his conditioning should mostly be fine.

In fact with his layoff he might be the healthiest guy out there since he'll have fresh legs compared to everyone else.

What if he decides to cooperate when he plays instead of being defiant?

agreed on not being greedy... I'd look at the saints game as his earliest and most requested presence for a game...

so he's out of rehab and out on those gun charges? may someone clarify this please...

Something that recently came to my attention that may be bad news for Aldon: Penal Code section 30600, importing an assault rifle, is a straight felony. Many crimes are "wobblers," meaning they can either be felonies or misdemeanors. This is not one of them. As a result, he may not get an offer to plead to a misdemeanor. We shall see...

I hope Santa Clara has a similar policy as Alameda county, where your first nonviolent felony garners no jail time. Would this even be Aldon's first non-DUI felony, though?
