Slow Horses

Just read today that Apple+ has commissioned a series based on the Nick Herron series of London based Slough House novels, the first of which is "Slow Horses." Gary Oldman has the lead role while Kristin Scott Thomas portrays his nenesis at MI-5.

I've read all the Slough House novels and found them very much in line with John LeCarre's writing. I'm really looking forward to this series which, at best, may debut in 2022. Gary Oldman's casting certainly can be aligned with his role as George Smiley.

My only regret is not having the mental images of the cast of the upcoming series when I read the books. It would have made them more fun to read.

My wait is over as it premiered last night.

It's everything I was hoping for. As I remember the first book, the first episode is pretty much dead on. And the casting is as perfect as I can recall any book-to-movie/series.

No spoilers but there is one character development in the books that I suspect might be modified for the TV series. I'll comment on it after the fact.

Just started it recently. Already through ep 1 of S3. Very enjoyable show and S3's set up has it on track to possible be the best yet.

The whole series is really good, but I agree - season three has been fantastic.

There was a brief trailer for season 4 at the end. It did appear that it is holding to the book series #4, "Spook Street." There are new outcasts at Slough House and a female leader of the dogs. At least one of the Horses doesn't make the end and there is a hint that

Sid is still alive. I'm also guessing that Hugo Weaving's role will be River's father.
