Anyways, looks like we're going to be restructuring some contracts. If we re-do enough of them, we can actually make a play for someone like Malik Jackson or Damon Harrison. As Galette, we've got the right of first refusal with him. Let him test the FA market and see what he gets.

Who cares about an article when we are talking about a hypothetical? His team had 23 dropped passes which is only six more than we had. Yes there passing attack is more vertical but that is what he throws better. He doesn't throw timing routes well and he struggles to throw with touch. He has a winde up delivery and only opens things up because of his legs, much like RG3 year one. Most of Newtons damage comes from plays outside of the set offense. You take away his legs and he is lost. Even the article proves my point with one of thei examples, the second one. It was a poor throw and ill advised. It did work. He was late on the throw to Olsen and the throw never should have been made...if you think he threw that exactly where he wanted, you are a homer.

The more replies that I read I am starting to think that the Spurrier poster is just an act to get attn. I think that this guy goes out of his way to provide insane replies & he is a total fake. However - Country is the real deal & posts some pretty authentic dumb replies.

I believe you need to have the cap space once you place the tag on the player.

Honestly, I don't know. But if you are right, with this tag, they are over the cap unless something happened that has not yet been announced.

Actually we just have to be in compliance by the 9th. Teams are allowed to go over the cap during the period of the end of the physical season ( day after the Super Bowl) and the start of the new league year (4:00 PM on the 9th)

So right this second it means very little. But some how i dont think Scot will let this sit til the last minute. We need to clear $1.5 million in cap space. I would think some one gets reworked, or Roberts gets cut before they release Griffin.

Thanks for that. I was confusing the end of the tag with the beginning of the league year.
