This is Rough...I didn't even bother with draft picks...just throwing something out there that I'd actually
like to see happen or think that could help the team.
Open to feedback...will edit with more later...

NT - Dan Williams
ROLB- Jason Pierre-Paul

This would be great if we could get Paul to convert.
He knows the division, could go back to DE in Nickel formations,
and is much more versatile than Houston in pass defense.
I know, I know...its a stretch.

CB1Byron Maxwell - Maxwell appears to be able to be left on an island.
He's also above 6ft tall.

FS Amerson -
Assuming a #1CB is signed, this looks like a good move strengthen the FS spot.
Breeland should only improve at the #2CB spot.

LG M.Lupati
RT B.Bulaga

I don't believe Bulaga nor his agent would make it out of Green Bay, but if they did, Washington has the $$$ to steal him.

I hope these are some of the FA's we can land. IMO JPP( a personal wish to convert to OLB), lupati, and Bulaga, would NEVER come here with our organization in its current state.

Actually a pretty solid list all the way around.

Im actually hoping we switch back to a 4-3 and Move Hatcher back to DT

well we could do that but the defense will take a step back learning the new system , but if that is what is decided then draft priorities will change

Strictly from a D-line point I dont think it would be too much of an issue.

Hatcher and Coefield both played DT in a 4-3, So mainly it would be finding/fitting DE LB. We need safty's in either case.

hatcher , and cofiled are 32 and 31 respectively . both had injury issues this season . bowen is another over 30 guy and golston as well . then you have jenkins as an FA . so you have a career BU baker and kearse and 3 overpaid old guys

that screams more resources

now you have kerrigan moving from OLB (where he is a 2x pro bowler ) and murphy at de. leaving robinson at one OLB position and riley at MLB and an open olb position in addition to needing 3 safeties and probably 2 cbs

so yes shark resources and what you draft will be affected

I fully expect the defense to be a mes and in transition this season no matter who the DC is and what scheme we run. As it stands, we need to fix one side of the ball and special teams. Currently the offense is actually closer to being complete. I agree it would likely change the draft strategy. But you of all people know, this aint a quick fix process. And like any rebuild, smart money says fix an area and move forward. IM perfectly fine with concentrating on fixing the offense as being the prime focus for year one of the McGM era.

my point is if you decide 4-3 is the way to go it will take a little longer in this rebuild to get to where we want to go .

now would be the time to make the change but we would be playing stop gaps in the d/front for a few years which we would have to do anyway

Our defense would suck as a 4-3 or 3-4 so why not switch? Plus having an old d line means we need to replace those guys anyways. Shit we need to replace a bunch of guys on defense so start bringing in the 4-3 guys. Sucks for Kerrigan though
