Route-running is just as important (if not more so), as long as the speed is at least functional.

Depends on the separation. The bigger the gap, the less important the size.

Route running is just as important as separation though. If the WR gets separation but isn't where the QB expects him to be, things could go very bad.

This would be one of the dumbest moves ever. There is literally no one worth the number one this year that is why the Titans are in play to sell it to the dumbest bidder and of course guess who gets in the ring?

It would take an enormous trade, really out of the realm of possibility. It took 2 future firsts and a 2nd to move 4 picks up from 6 to 2 in the RG3 trade. This trade up would be 14 picks, more than 3x that of the RG3 trade. It simply won't happen, unless the Titans are accepting pennies on the dollar. A team in the top 5 or so could go to #1, but that's about it (and I don't see it happening this year).

In the article I read, the Titans suggested that the deal would be in the realm of what would fit for both teams like a number one, a two, a four this year and a one, two, three, next year.

That can't be the same deal within the top 5 as it would be within the top 10 or top 15. I doubt the Titans are looking to drop all the way to 15.

There's no way it's worth 14 picks. If they truly feel like they can land a franchise QB, then I don't mind trading up to get that guy. I think that's well worth the risk. However, trading up to #1 would have to cost us next years #1 and probably our first three picks this year. I think they can find a trade partner 2-6 that wouldn't necessarily break the bank in order to get Wentz or Goff.
