Way too early to judge those picks. They weren't going to break in to this dline as rookies.

I would have rather had Sims instead of Geathers. We could have moved Still to DE kept Sims while improving our run defense. A really dumb move.

Agree absolutely. The Geathers thing was a typical Mike Brown loyalty move, and the better player (Sims) was the loser. The run defense always instantly improved when Sims was a factor.

Agreed that Sims>Geathers, but you can't just say, let's move Still to DE. He's not a 4-3 DE.

Sims plays about 1/5 of the amount of plays that Geathers does in any given season. The guy can stop the run, but he's also injury prone and completely one-dimensional. Geathers has WAY more value to the defense.

I disagree. Geathers' production is much less than it should be considering how much he plays. Sims' production is very high on a per play basis. When he's on the field the run defense gives up about a yard less per carry. Believe what you want, we're really going to miss him.
