Are you friggin serious? This has nothing to do with like or dislike of a team. That hit was brutal and irresponsible. I'd be saying the same thing if one of the Leafs did that.

The league has been trying to get rid of headshots all year and tossing a players head into the glass is about as huge an offense to that goal as there is. You opinion is clearly one of a homer. If a B's player was the victim, you would be screaming bloody murder.

The issue here is one of intent to injure. Did Chara intend to injure Pacioretty, only he really knows the answer to that question, but from the multiple times I've seen the replay it doesn't appear to be the case. Having said that was it a responsible play that you would expect from a professional? No I can't defend that part of it. It was a late hit and Chara was responsible for it being a late hit. That's all I can surmise from it.
