I forget which station it was on but I liked My Own Worst Enemy with Christian Slater

Of all the Christian Slater TV-Shows that were tried a few years back, THIS one was actually good. The prob was that it came out the same year as DollHouse, and there was no way both those shows were going to survive. Unfortunately, once DollHouse won that battle, it ended up getting cancelled the next year, so neither show lived.

FTR, I think DH was the better show the first season, so the right show won that battle. The prob was that DH S2 was pretty much crap.

Roger that. I love the show.

I've tried to get folks who never saw it to watch it somehow, I'll even loan them my BluRay box set.

Responses I get are:

Kay left the room after the 3rd cocksucker...

They didn't talk like that back then.

We only have one TV and I don't want the kids hearing that.

Etc.

I find it a great show with a full dialogue. Great writing, great cast and intrersting storylines.

But they basically just stopped showing it with no wrap up whatsoever.

Agreed. Bunch of surfers but John himself was without explanation.

That one episode where he went on a long rap/speech/diatribe he said a lot of shit.

David Milch who created it hasn't had a lot of "luck"

Deadwood sort of just stopped.

John From Cincinatti died prematurely.

And his last effort Luck (with Hoffman and the horse racing) was alos interesting but offended PETA or somebody and it too got prematurely aborted.
