I agree. Sign a journeyman for competition and insurance. After this year we will have a pretty good idea if we need to go QB next year.No QB at all. We already have two young QB's on the roster. Why draft one this year?

I find absolute statements like these hilarious.
What if Tua fell to the third round, would you draft him? What if he fell to the seventh because of the hip?
What if Burrow slips to the third because some college chick accused him of touching her inappropriately and the #metoo people started their shit with zero proof and less credibility?
You see...the no QB at all statement is just bullshit.
Who is falling in this draft that was projected high? Fromm? If you watched him play, you know why.
Is QB a top 5 position right now for the Skins? I’d venture to say, no.
In no order it sounds like this is their top 6 needs:
WR
TE
OT
LB
Edge
CB
Why would you need to address a non-major need and waste a mid-round pick when you believe in a 1st round pick last year?
Seriously? Obviously if something weird like these scenarios occur, then all bets are off. But I think most answers to this question are based on what is expected to happen with the QBs in the draft.I find absolute statements like these hilarious.

wow. Another person who doesn’t know how to actually debate.
I never said Fromm would drop. I said if he did and was availed in round 4 or 5 he should be drafted.
I stated he was expected to be the #1 pick at one point.
I answered the question posed and then people like you try to rephrase what was said.
The top needs for the Redskins are the following order:
LT
CB
TE
LB
WR
That has no bearing on who we should draft in round 4. None whatsoever.
I would put WR higher on your need list. At CB we have Fuller, Darby, ucla kid, and Moreland. That's not bad. LT,WR, and TE are the top 3 needs. The way we went after Cooper I think RR would put WR as his top need.
I forgot about Darby. We can drop that but I would not raise WR. We have three quality WRs.
I would like to add one more. Latimer is a wild card. If RR thought we had 3 quality WR's on the roster then why the massive offer for Cooper? Curious to see what Wr is there at #66. Would you take Trautman the Te at #66?
Latimer is a nothing. He has been in the league for six years and has under 1,000 yards in his career.
They are not RR’s guys and it is my opinion we have three quality receivers. The massive offer for Cooper is alleged and has no actual proof. We also do not know how it was structured. Likely, whatever we offered the FO thought he was worth it.
It will be very interesting to see what is there at 66. As for Trautman at 66, it really depends on what is available. I think Trautman is overrated and would rather have Claypool, who I believe will be a TE in the NFL.
OMG so you are doubting all the Cooper info that even RR himself admitted the Skins offered more than the Cowboys? Multiple sources said Cooper turned down more money from the Redskins. That has been well documented.
It doesn't matter gk, the writing has been put on the wall by RR. He brought in Kyle Allen (like a late round QB pick) this year to compete with Haskins. We also have Smith on the roster who by all accounts will make an attempt to be part of the team. With COVID in place, this buys him more time before camp to fully heal and take advantage of his own workout time. WE ARE NOT DRAFTING A QB THIS YEAR UNLESS SMITH CANNOT PARTICIPATE. Even then we may sign an unrestricted FA or undrafted rookie to be place holder #3.Yes seriously. Absolute statements are a complete joke.
Frommlasting to he fourth is not expected, but if it were to happen, drafting him makes sense.
That is the exact scenario I mentioned. The rebuttal was no QB period. So I respond with scenarios that destroy the rebuttal. There are obviously situations where you don’t believe what you said and QBs can be drafted by this team.

That is all you got from my statement? I said it was alleged because there is no actual proof.
From there, I said perhaps it was offered but structured in a way that made it less enticing.
Just because something is reported, most news agencies copy each other, doesn’t make it true.
you are right he did confirm themRR confirmed the reports. Why would be confirmed the reports if it wasn't true?
