And how is that different from now?? it is still possible!!! Mathematically speaking the 3rd WC is at worst the 7th best team out of 16 teams, that is still a top half team, so they should be at worst 8-8.

I see no logical reason against it...

Yea, anything to give the J.E.T.S. a better chance of getting in huh????

8 - 8 is not a top half team, its a mediocre team

I get the feeling about an 8-8 team making the playoffs. But I would have really hated being the Cardinals last year going 10-6 and missing the playoffs and watching the packers get in at 8-7-1!

I take the trade off to make sure teams that have that good record make the playoffs.
