Guys gone after this year. Nats are no good. Should they trade Harper and get at least something for him?
Only 6 games out so I doubt they would but SHOULD they?
I think they'd love to have him back but financially it's just very unlikely. Its a deal hes having an off year but man I think this could be a blessing in disguise if it forces their hand on a trade. Im just not sure they've got the stomach to tell their fans they're packing it inHard to say, do they have zero intention of bringing him back? And his value has never been lower with the year he's having.
Then they need a new manager. The nats would be better off without him. They have all that talent on their team and still come up short in October. Sometimes the problem isn't talent, it's the lack of leadership maybe.

Scherzer, Strasburg, Murphy, Werth, Zimmerman, Wieters etc...
The Nats have had loads of proven veterans over Harpers tenure.
Not sure how those fails all fall on him
And I strongly dislike the dbag
But he won the home run contest at the all star game. That should count for something. The nats would be better off without him. They have all that talent on their team and still come up short in October. Sometimes the problem isn't talent, it's the lack of leadership maybe.
That's the thing. Get rid of him, and maybe something happens. What do the other players on the nats think of him?
Btw, I don't consider Murphy the veteran I am talking about. I am talking about some wise type like a Pujols or a Lester. Lester certainly had a lot to do with the cubs winning the WS two years ago. He had a lot to do with Boston's 2013 WS. Pujols helped the cards in the 2011 comeback. Justin Turner is the veteran leader on the dodgers and they went to the WS last year and are a threat to go again(they will win the west). Those are the types of veterans a team like the nats need.
