He was just released by the Patriots -- Even if they bring him up on charges, he is rich and will be found innocent anyways.

It would immediately upgrade the Lions TE position. Not sure how the Lions can pass at this chance.

I highly doubt the Ford's would allow that...

Reportedly they were pissed with all those off season arrests a couple a seasons ago.

AH is looking at jail time regardless how this plays out. I think the Patriots got a heads up and were just being proactive. Accessory or destruction of evidence will cause him a significant penalty lap. And a Murder charge will just pack him away for rest of his years.

Plus I don't think the charge in Florida over shooting his friend in the face and dropping him in an industrial park will go away. IMO they will probably charge him for that as well with the knowledge of what has transpired in Mass.

The Lions may be alot of things but taking chances on guys with current issues are not one of them.

If the Lions continue to not care about character issues, then you're right. However, I think they've had enough issues. We don't need some murderer or accessory to murder on our squad, regardless of whether he's proven innocent or not.

No Way. Even if none of this happened, he is a slight upgrade over Scheffler. He would not be worth the money.

Not sure if any reports disclosed this information, but the police did not notify him theat they were coming to pick him up. If it were just obstruction charges he would have gotten a phone call. He will be in jail for multiple years at least. My guess is they have him on accessory or at least conspiracy charges as well.

I can't imagine that the Patriots would release Hernandez unless they were confident that he was not going to be playing anytime soon.

If OJ can beat murder charges, I'm sure Hernandez will be able to as well. Hell, just hire the attorney Donte Stallworth did -- He killed a guy while driving drunk and didn't serve any jail time (not sure if all of that is truth, as I don't remember the story verbatim)

Imagine having Hernandez stretching the middle of the field with Calvin on the outside. I say Detroit puts in a claim before anyone else does. Maybe they could work out some sort of job release program with the jail and Hernandez can come play on Sunday's and then ship him back to jail.

Stallworth admitted to drinking the night prior to the accident. According to early reports Stallworth was legally drunk and was reportedly under the influence of marijuana at the time of the accident. Stallworth was charged with DUI manslaughter on April 1, 2009; he surrendered to police on April 2, 2009, and was released on $200,000 bail. As a result of a plea deal, he received a sentence of 30 days in the county jail, plus 1,000 hours of community service, 2 years of community control, and 8 years probation. He has also received a life-time suspension of his Florida state driver's license.

Mike, this is the dumbest thing you've ever posted. I'd welcome AH to the Lions if you let him stay in your house and babysit your son. Sound like a deal?

It was a joke people. I guess I need to type 'sarcasm' at the end of my posts, when I do that. I wouldn't touch the guy with a 10 foot pole.
