The new cba absolutely crippled them unless the phase in let’s them still aggregate salaries now.

They should’ve made the Conley play.

They need pg help more than anything and they need to clear out guys who get too many minutes (Morris)

Find some backup c help and roll.

But it depends on how the phase in goes

Yeah, but that's one of the reasons I think they should blow it up. Recoup some picks via trades. Blow it up doesn't mean they have to hit rock bottom record wise either. They can load up on decent players and just coast as an average team to take the sting out of not having your own picks. Just don't overpay average talent and be stuck with awful deals. But they could position that roster to where they might not have any stars, but have a lot of nice rotational pieces and trade-able pieces that could be packaged for better players down the road.

Moving into a new arena is a huge reason they cannot and will not.

They gotta be able to sell tickets. And if they trade Leonard and PG.....they will not.

On the other hand, the 2 "names" on the roster that they are counting on to fill the arena...haven't exactly been reliable. How much longer are fans going to continue to show up when getting to see their 2 stars is a 50/50 proposition?

I'd go after Nurse and trade Kawhi. You can't keep Kawhi any longer, he tanks morale by load managing all the time while still getting injured.
