Injuries piling up. He isn't single and 28 anymore. He said at the beginning of the season 5 yrs. I believed him. I think the transverse process injury scared the shit out of him though. Hearing him talk after that and say we dodged a big one raises questions for me. When he talks now he sounds like he is in pain after games. He talks with a voice that sounds like it is hard to breath. He is normally smiling and trying to crack a joke or two. That's still there but not as much. The one thing that will keep him playing though is the quest for that RING. It was just 3 yrs ago when asked about retirement, he said he had never thought about when. He then said 15 yrs. I think those thoughts are creeping now
