Should every team get an All-Star?

There are always going to be perceived snubs when the rosters are limited to 28 players but that is no excuse to leave certain franchises unrepresented when the game means absolutely nothing.

Yes there is....when a player is not really an all star. That is a perfect excuse if you ask me

It's a game for the fans, by the fans. If some marginal All-Star gets left off the ballot so they can get a guy from every team to appease the fans, I really don't care.

Stanton strikes out 6 times for every homerun he hits and he is 12th among AL outfielders in OPS. Those aren't the stats of an all star. If he wasn't a Yankee, nobody would give a shit about him being left off the roster.

I know the Dodgers have had a lot of injuries but it’s still crazy that a season after 104 wins and a WS appearance they only have one All Star.

They do have Muncey on the final vote, however.

I would like to see the fan voting eliminated because some of the most deserving players don't get selected. It shouldn't be a popularity contest.

But that is precisely what it is. I don't like it either. I bitched every time Ripken made the All-Star team the last 5 years of his career. He wasn't deserving, he was Cal Ripken and that was enough for fans.

I used to absolutely LOVE the All-Star game when I was a kid but its quickly morphing into the Pro-Bowl for me

When the game actually meant something (i.e., when the winner got home field advantage in the WS), the rule sucked. But as a exhibition game with no impact other than bragging rights, then yes, every team should have a representative.
