Blake Snell was the biggest omission this season

Who?
The worst pitcher in Atlanta Braves history.
never heard of him. Had to look him up
I'll never forget his sorry ass.
He only started 5 games, but he allowed 28 earned runs in 21.2 innings and we lost em all. Potentially cost us a shot at the wild card in 2007.
No. But the host team should get 1 guaranteed(usually probably not an issue).
But at the end of the day it mostly comes down to the idiots choosing.
Like yeah, the Twins were forced to have a rep this year. It’s not our fault they chose the wrong fucking guy for no reason.
I could deal with the host team getting one but forcing all these bad teams to have a rep that isn't really an all star is so horrible.
How the heck did Blake Snell not make it though?
This is more Ozzie Guillen's fault than anyone else's. He coulda taken Mark Grudzielanek (or someone else from the offense) and put him at the bottom of the bench, and at least the move would've been at a minimum respectable. Grudzielanek deserved a nod over Jose Lopez that year. Instead he takes a pitcher from one of the worst pitching teams in the history of baseball and plants him in the bullpen without any intention of pitching him.
I would like to see the fan voting eliminated because some of the most deserving players don't get selected. It shouldn't be a popularity contest.Do you like the rule of every team getting at least one player in the All-Star game? Or do you think it's unfair and should be eliminated?

Also, the AL has 3 Jose's in the infield.
