Who is your favorite shortstop prospect?
Who do you think will be the best for fantasy?

Thanks for your replies.

I am hoping Carlos corea since I have him in my keeper. Just traded Raul mondesi so now hope he fizzles.

Can't really say I have a favorite of that group. I would think in real baseball, Lindor gets the nod due to his Omar Vizquel-ness in the field with a better bat. In fantasy, I would think the other three have more upside. Too bad for Russell, if he wasn't hurt all season, he might be in the bigs right now... and especially if Lowrie hits a DL stint.

i guess Profar and Odor aren't prospects anymore? No love for the heavily blocked Sardinas, who could see himself moved at the deadline if Texas looks to add an SP arm :)

Is Baez even going to stick at short? Thought I heard he was going to have to move off the position.

Profar I wouldn't call a prospect anymore, and Odor I would classify as a 2B right now.
I really like Sardinas!! (actually wrote a little about him last month)... I just tried to limit the poll ... I'm doing a look at these 4 right now; Lindor and Russell are my personal favorites, but Baez and Correa likely have highest fantasy ceilings.
Yes a real shame about Russell, though some game action is on tap for him soon. Could still be a factor late in the season.
I love them all truth be told. Russell and Lindor are just the guys I'm really pulling for.

Phil, how about Raul mondesi. Just traded him, should I regret it in the future?? Did not get future anything for him just minimal help for this season.

I think Bryant sticks at 3B myself. He's too good for AA right now and may force the situation before too long.
Baez poor play this year puts the Cubs SS dilemma on hold at least for now. I think he can handle SS if they wanted him to. 2B more likely than 3B in my humble opinion.

As far as Mondesi, he's another really good one. Not at the same level yet I'd say... but with a handful of others that could approach it down the line. You may miss him, but not for a while... and by that time hopefully you've replaced him anyway.

I voted for Baez but would have no problem with swapping him and Lindor.

How did I miss this poll? I think I would've voted for Russell, even though he had the hammy at the time. Baez would've been my second choice.

I had Mondosi and Corey Seager, traded Seager to get Vmart about 50 games ago...I should have traded Mondosi....Seager looks like a legit SS superstar and also has the bloodline bonus.

A little shocked Corey Seager isn't on the list, maybe even Ponder (sneaking up but a 2nd rounder), but on the list, I like Addison Russell and even think he should have been a higher draft pick than he was.

Yep, Seager needs to be included whenever top SS prospects are mentioned now. Can't argue that.
