Kapurnik is a bad mother fucker.

He definitely has a stronger arm than Dalton. Appears to have better accuracy. He appears decisive. Has the added dimension of running the ball with lightning speed.

So why wasn't he ranked higher than Dalton in the draft?

Remember all those reports about teams interested in jumping ahead of us to grab Dalton? If they did, Kap would have been ours.... Of course, he'd probably suck if he was a Bengal.

I don't remember the jumping ahead part for Dalton. I do remember the Bengals deciding not to trade into the end of the 1st round because they knew they'd have him in the 2nd.

1. There were TONS of reports of teams trading ahead of us to take Dalton.

2. Kaepernick was "too raw". Had high upside but high bust ability.

3. No way we would do with him what Harbaugh has. He wouldn't be half the player.

totally agree. CK was raw coming out of Nevada. People take for granted that we could've developed him the same way SF did. Kinda like if we would've drafted Jimmy Graham would've he of turned into the player that he is with NO? That being said in hindsight of course you roll the dice with CK over Dalton.

I think this was MB trying to sabotage the Bengals taking Dalton. He wanted Mallett but I believe had promised Marv more influence over personnell when he came back...so by stubbornly refusing to trade up I think he was hoping somebody would snag Dalton so he could take Mallett. Of course total speculation on my part.

I remember it being a given that the Bengals were taking Dalton at 35, so it was speculated that if a team coveted him they would trade to get ahead of us. It never happened though. I don't recall a "ton of teams" trying to make the trade. Not saying you're wrong, I just don't remember it and I followed that draft pretty closely.

Lombardi, La Confora and a few others had a lot of rumors of people wanting to trade up for him. I recal thinking those teams were morons.

I wanted Colin when I watched the kid play and even mentioned it...I was unsure on Dalton and the reason was arm strength and it was accurate....Colin would have been able to make every throw in Gruden's offense HOWEVER in the 1st year we would probably would have not gone to the playoffs....THIS YEAR? he would have played lights out! With Green, Sanu, BGE, Gresham and Hawkins...and his running capability we would have been VERY hard to stop....Guess we can only dream

With that said I am NOT African-American I am Black and proud of it.....Fuck them cocky sons of bitches...Thats why when a couple of them talked shit to me and some of my friends 1 night leaving the bar we POUNDED THEIR ASSES and walked off fuckin with em saying "I AM BET TA THAN YOU" which is 1 of their phrases....I have love for many of them but If I hear any of them talking that "I hate black people" shit then its on if you catch me at the wrong time. If they talk like that they can eat a fat 1 TWICE!
