The giants don't need someone to come in and show them how to win. They already got that part down.

Maybe Shields can be the "show them how to win in odd years" addition to the rotation? In spite of the "fact" that he duplicates in attitude what the Giants already have, if a deal can be made to make him a Giant then you make the deal.

Agreed, it does seem like they are done...it feels like they are bringing back the team that won the championship (swapping Cain for Vogey, McGehee for Panda). The deals were there only if you wanted to get ridiculous. I'd rather they get ridiculous next year with Timmy's $ to get Price or Zimmerman.

I think they're truly in on Shields, and I'm 100% behind that and Zobrist.

They might be, and if they think it's a good idea then I'm totally on board. We'll see...if they are all in for him and he goes elsewhere for the same or less money (a pitcher no less), we'll have a real world data point in favor of MontNolan's theory.
