Well, and you have to think of the source, too. Best that I can tell, She Hulk has never really taken off as a comic book imo because she is the dreaded Mary Sue. She has Hulk's strength, but retains her intelligence and wits.

That being said, they could also rebrand her. Certainly Perry Mason was rebranded. I think She Hulk would work best if she was young ala Spider-man except maybe starting out in law school.

I am not familiar with the source material, so I can’t comment on that. IMHO, the best stories are about how the protagonist overcomes (or not) their failings. Not about how they win while having no failings.

Superman wants to be Clark Kent. He wants to keep that persona secret so he can experience, in some small way, a “normal” life (And the whole Kryptonite thing). In the last 20-30 years, stories about Clark Kent have become more popular than stories about Superman.

Batman has serious mommy and daddy issues and has no super-abilities.

Ironman literally has no heart.

Spiderman is just a kid, carrying the guilt of his power ultimately getting his uncle killed.

Hulk is a classic Jekyll/Hyde retelling. The migration to “Smart Hulk” has always bothered me.

Aqua man is limited to the seas.

If I knew Maslany was playing the lead, I had forgotten it. She is an AMAZING actress. Hopefully this will get her some attention (not like Orphan Black or Perry Mason were minor gigs).

Kinda liked the nod to the 80s show, but I would have preferred that go to Hulk rather than She-Hulk.

Either way, I will watch.

I don’t know if there has been any confirmation, but Murdoch should be a natural co-lead for this show, especially if it will primarily be a legal drama.

I will watch it, but it looks kinda stoopid.

I know that she practices law while “green” in the comics, but that is just ridiculous. I really dislike smart-Hulk (it removes his “sacrifice” and makes the character boring af) and remaking smart-Hulk, but as a woman is pointless.

Like I said, I will watch it, but that trailer REALLY dropped my expectations.

it sounds like you haven't followed the Hulk story for quite some time. It hasn't been a Jekyll and Hyde type thing for quite some time.

Who cares about how long the comics have been wrong as well. A good literary character has “demons” to overcome. Once those demons are overcome, the character should be retired. Who wants to read/watch/listen to/smell/taste/feel/whatever a fictional character which no strife?
