Now we can just hope that no other network picks up Sharpe, since he's god awful behind a mic.

No offense to a Charger fan, but he is better than Ladainian Thomlinson.

No offense taken, but Tomlinson isn't on a major non-cable network like Sharpe was.

It so very refreshing to be able to use 'past tense' when referring to Sharpe as an in studio analyst

Although I can't stand Gonzo, he's 10 times better than those other guys.

2 down!

Now lets get rid of Sapp, Irvin, Tomlinson, Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson and Berman

I liked Sharpe and Marino, a little humor is good.....And at least you had 2 guys that never threw their team mate under the bus because they couldn't get to a SB....Lost all respect for Gonz after that.

Die a hero or live long enough to be a villain I guess.

the CBS network kills me.... I might be in the minority when i feel CBS is just too lifeless and dull for todays football...

idk, for me, FOX seems more colorful, more energy, more life whether its their pregame/halftime segments or the actual broadcast. CBS is like a vampire, just sucks the life out of me n less energetic.... I hear noise and rowdiness in FOX games but silence and death with CBS....

:agree: From the pre-game show to the commentators in game, it is just plain terrible from top to bottom. So glad my team is not in the AFC any more.

Fox has been better than CBS for decades, but Fox seriously needs to get rid of that ridiculous broadcasting crew. Fox does a great job in the production department, but Terry Bradshaw makes 'em go from a credible broadcast to a circus.

NFL Network's coverage kicks both of their asses.

Eh...I guess i like Deion Sanders, Kurt Warner and Faulk.

If I have to pick, I'm taking ESPN.

I began watching Fox when they first came on .Ronnie Lott ,etc. Before that ,it was ESPN. I went with the NFL Network when they first started and still do so because they have the best info IMO. I can't stand Sapp or Sanders but overall not a bad program. I've never bothered with CBS and really don't care who they bring in or let go. CBS is the pond-scum of info IMO.

Yeah Sapp is the turd in the soup at NFL Network IMO. He's even worse than Sharpe & Marino IMO.

I'm glad to see Sharpe go, the guy is a complete tool and adds nothing to the discussions. If the only thing you bring to the table are wearing wide receiver gloves of the team you pick, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I think Sharpe summed up this news best in his own words:

"Guys, wereaadfjearkje;aewearieagja. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

That's not what he said. Take a look; someone posted his comments on youtube:
