I hope both get real far,

It's a toss up but I think the Warriors will go farther this year if Bogut, Lee come back healthy.

However If the Sharks survive the 1st round and get Raffi and Hertl back. I think they make the finals!!!!

I felt the same. Sharks look great on paper, but for some reasons their star players don't do well in the PO. Any teams can win, and any teams can make to the Finals....and this is why hockey playoffs is great.

Great for the Bay Area to have Sharks and Warriors have strong playoffs, but I personally dont give a flying monkey shit about basket ball.

Go Sharks :horn:

Both these teams are head cases at home in the 2nd half.

Warriors losses at home to Denver (twice), San Antonio D League squad (twice), Charlotte, Cleveland, Washington, Minnesota, New York. Not getting out of the 1st round.

Sharks losses at home to Carolina, New York Islanders, Buffalo, Winnipeg, Washington. Not as bad as the Warriors, but not getting out of the 1st round either.... unless Torres and Hertl magically return to form. That could make a difference.

P.S. Could David Lee and Andrew Bogus play in the NHL? Wouldn't last a game. One check and they'd be on IR.

I am not sure I am too thrilled about how the playoff opponents are selected in hockey now.. LA as a first round opponent is going to be a litmus test for us - If we get past them in tact I think we can go pretty deep.

but I have been 'surprised' before.

I agree. I like the old method. 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc. Sharks knew they were playing pretty much the Kings for months. Doesn't make for an exciting end of regular season. You are going to end up playing a lot of the same teams year after year in the 1st round.

I think both teams will be bounced out in the first round.

There is some hope because the Dubs have played the Clippers pretty close this year, but I don't know.

As for the Sharks, I REALLY hope they beat the Kings because I made a bet with my brother & his wife - both are from LA, whereas I'm from SF - that if the Kings win I'll change my facebook profile pic to me in Kings gear till the end of the Stanley Cup, but if the Sharks win, they'll both change their pics to them in Sharks gear.

Sharks seem to deflate against the Kings, so I'm kind of worried about this.

Both made the PO's. Both out in the 1st round. GS just fired their coach. Time will tell if it is a good move. I think DWil or the ownership need to do the same. This franchise needs a swift kick in the pants. :gaah:

......but the Warriors suck like all Oakland teams :laugh3:

Raiders can't do nothing right, might as well let them go back to LA

Warriors are looking for a home.

A's are looking for a new home also.

Hard to say. I think the Sharks are typically a better team than the Warriors, but the Sharks went down in historical fashion while the Warriors just went down. Both teams went down in the 1st round to LA teams which is kind of interesting.

Hang in there Shark fans,

1942 Red Wings blew a 3-0 series lead to the Maple Leafs and won the Stanley Cup in 1943.

2010 Bruins blew a 3-0 series lead to the Flyers and won the Stanley Cup in 2011.
