One of the guys I root for is gone. Best of good fortune to Shaq Barrett - UDFA - who was quite a contributor to the Broncos on ST and as an extra Edge Rusher. He is the type of player that provides important glue to a team of winners.

I'll lean into the handshake and respectfully ask for the autograph on Barrett.

Yes, Barrett was nothing but a team player when he was here. You can’t blame him for wanting a chance to start.

Good luck to him next year and I hope he is able to land the lucerative multi-year deal next year.

Yes, but unlikely. With Miller, Chubb, and Holland they have a nice start at OLB. My guess is we find 1 more depth guy with upside in the draft or free agency. Sadly Barrett’s time here is done unless he wants to be a backup.

Shaq Barrett posts goodbye message to Broncos fans, teammates on Instagram

After signing a one-year, $5 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, outside linebacker Shaq Barrett posted a farewell message to Denver Broncos fans and his ex-teammates on his Instagram page:

I knew this day was coming and it’s still hard to say bye. Imma miss everybody the fans my teammates my friends and my brothers. I learned so much here, and am grateful to everyone who helped me on my journey. Denver will always be home to me and my family. Thanks for all the great times and the not so great times. I cherish it all. SB50 parade was surreal and can’t wait to start pursuing another one with the Bucs. Hold it down fellas
