I was really disappointed hasheem Thabeet and Johnny Flynn were in the 09 draft

Still lol at the T Wolves drafting three point guards in one draft

One of the stranger drafts I can recall and they ended up trading the better of Flynn/Lawson while Rubio went back to Europe.

Also had Jrue Holliday Jeff teague Darren collison all drafted in the late teens and twenties.

The Pistons took Austin Daye fwiw. They basically butchered every single draft pick they had for a decade plus going strong. Drummond excluded. I don't want to seem like I'm piling on the T Wolves.

June 23, 2011: Traded by the Minnesota Timberwolves with Donatas Motiejūnas and a 2012 2nd round draft pick (Will Barton was later selected) to the Houston Rockets for Brad Miller, Nikola Mirotić, Chandler Parsons and a 2013 1st round draft pick (Andre Roberson was later selected).


IDK...WTF happened on 6/23/2011 but they got Mirotic, Brad Miller and Parsons and they were all flipped. Got Bojan as well, who was flipped for a 2nd and cash. They traded away the eventually pick where Barton was selected. In the end for Flynn they ended up with cash and 2nd round picks it looked like.

At the time I liked the Rubio pick but I couldn't for the life of me understand the Flynn pick. The Wolves have so many what the fucks in their draft history it's insane!

Yeah and I could understand the Flynn pick if they needed a PG or didn't just take a PG with the previous pick!!! Wanting a 6'0" player to essentially play SG or play backup PG is one of the strangest draft moves in draft history.
