Go Home Run Heels!
6 grand. It's ran pretty smooth so far, the previous owners said they never had a problem with it.
You got a very good deal. Take care of her and she'll SATISFY YOU LONG TIME.

Thanks for the history info geneh_33. I am a motorhead and have been all my life. When this teaching gig dies, I am heading to my next best passion-cars. Might even open up a dealership lot here in Phoenix. I never tire of them and motorcycles which I have ridden since I was 12. Gotta love going from point a to point b AFAP!!!
Yeah, my 2002 Stang is somewhat beat up and she has 206,000 mi. on her, oil seals leaking like a sieve. Got no money to fix 'er up, though so I do what I do.
This isn't my car but it looks exactly like it except for my various dings, of course:

Yea TJFan12. I am not married. I stayed single, but folks like you and others tell me that the good stuff in families seems to migrate towards the wife. I am not sure why. At any rate, the Accord is a great car and if properly maintained, their longevity and performance is legendary.
dude, that really sucks!!

No problem geneh_33 on thread jacking. No harm no foul and if folks get offended, they'll let us know and we'll migrate to the motorhead forum. Nice Mustang. IS that a 4.6L? I have problems with gaskets here in the desert heat as well. Anything rubber dries out and then leaks like your car. Unfortunately it is on a BMW 740iL which I just got through plugging all the leaks. Those older Mustangs, especially the Cobras were badass little cars. One blew by me on I-10 out here one day like I was sitting still.
Excellent move TJFan 12. Your son living with you is the best thing for him AND you. You can always pick up another Accord. Its a buyer's market. There are oodles of them out there.

I hear you geneh_33 on the way-too-many-cars-not-enough-scratch-routine. The Ford six is pretty darned good engine in its own right. Its evolution had a pretty significant history. That must of sucked running on 5 cylinders though. Kind of like the older VWs, Audis, and I believe Porsche made a five-cylinder. Well when you get the cash, I see a restoration in your future.
Driving a Dodge Intrepid right now and I'm going to be getting the head gasket replaced in my truck, which will then become my sons car when he gets his license!!
