The 118-110 card was pure diarrhea but I dont have a problem with a draw. 1, 2, 11, & 12 were all Canelo rounds. 3, 4, 5, 7, & 10 were all GGG rounds. 6, 8, & 9 were debatable.

Not sure where people are seeing he got robbed or whatever.

This fight did remind me a little of Ward vs Kovalev. I'll have to watch it again.

Yeah I told people before the scores were announced that either GGG won or a draw. The 118-110 score just left a bad taste in my mouth. If she scored it 114-114 and we had a majority draw then everyone would have been happy but the way we got to this draw was pretty bad

I had GGG 115-113 so I'm not going to say it was a robbery if a judge saw a round different than I did

I've seen others accuse her of being bought and paid for by GBP. She's had some terrible cards in the past.

But 118-110? Why would she make it so obvious? If she just scores it 115-113 Canelo then it's a lot less of an issue. It's hard to fathom, but maybe she's just that bad at her job. I wouldn't blame anyone for scoring it a draw with Golovkin's apparent slow start, Canelo's strong finish in the championship rounds, and Golovkin's unrelenting aggression during the middle rounds.

2017's been a pretty damn good year for boxing so far.

Kinda sick seeing so many in the media being ok with the draw decision because "at least we'll get to see the rematch." Realistically I think after we see the PPV numbers we'll see that upwards of $25-30 MILLION has been stolen from Golovkin by that one crooked judge. Instead of the winners share and the losers share, they both split that part even. And Canelo came into the fight with the bigger fan base so he was already getting 60-40 split of the gate and guaranteed money. With a draw on the record I'm sure they split money the same way in the rematch.

Between the first fight and the rematch it might even be more than that. Somebody stealing $25 million dollars from you shoild be like an automatic get out of jail free card. Like you go shoot the guy in the face and in court just tell the judge that the guy had stolen 25M from you and they'll dismiss all charges.

Take it with a grain a salt but the compubox numbers indicate superior defense from Canelo. Around the same number of shots landed with almost 200 more punches thrown by GGG. GGG completely avoided going to the body and opening himself up, he used his reach to his advantage all night. He was landing his jab but missed often on his true power shots. It could also be argued that Canelo landed the cleaner and more meaningful shots of the match.

Yeah, GGG should shoot Adelaide Byrd in the face. :L

Is it truly a robbery? Even the judge that had GGG winning 115-113 had Canelo winning the 10th, 11th, and 12th rounds. Give Canelo a round or two and it's a completely different story (which the fight was obviously close enough to do). But I understand, you said Canelo would get destroyed by GGG so you gotta stand by your pick.

I didn't say he should shoot her in the face. I'm saying I'd understand if he did. :dhd:

And no, if a judge had the fight even 115-113 Canelo I would have thought they were wrong, but not egregious. 118-110 is criminal. You couldn't have watched that fight and come up with a 118-110 score.

I think that's something everyone can agree on.

My scorecard ended up being 114-114 after watching the first 3 rounds. The 3rd is arguable though and that's where I'm kind of on the fence of a draw and GGG winning 115-113. In the end I felt Canelo was really comfortable in the 3rd.

I'd say Canelo won at least 2 out of the first 3 rounds, and at least 2 out of the last 3 rounds. GGG undoubtedly won the middle 6. Personally I had it 116-112 8 rounds to 4 watching it live, and probably have it 115-113 7 rounds to 5 after a second viewing. I think any combo of those 3 scores can be right. I can't see any way to have Canelo having more than 6 rounds though.
