Exactly my thoughts. I just think it's a joke that UVA is a 1 seed over us.
You don't understand the seeding process then. If anything you should be more upset about Oregon getting a #1.

Here's my final four, at least in my first bracket:

Miami vs Oklahoma, UNC vs. Michigan St with Oklahoma losing to Michigan State in the finals.

Monmouth got hosed, them not making it is ridiculous

Would have liked to see them in but 3 losses to teams with 200+ RPI teams did them in. One less of those losses may have been enough

With how the teams were seeding this should dispel the notion that they care about the metrics(KP, BPI, Sagarin etc.) My take away, most important thing were quality wins and SOS & Non Con SOS.

Are any of these "Experts" picking any upsets? watching Jay Bilas now and the only upsets I saw was Syracuse and Michigan winning which really aren't upsets in my mind. Also when I was watching the first half of the selection show none of those guys were picking upsets. What the hell is going on? I could go up there and tell you a player from each team and pick the higher seed.

At least Oregon won their conference and their conference tournament, Virginia won neither
Thankfully the selection committee goes off of other criteria besides that.

UVA has the 2nd best resume in the tournament. The only 1 seed with a sketchy claim is UNC but they get the benefit of the doubt because they won the ACC and the tourney.

-Duke is overseeded.

-Monmouth should be in over Tulsa.

-How the fuck do you not put Texas vs VCU? That's good TV. There's no difference between a 10 or 11. They should have swapped NI and VCU to make the Shaka game happen

-The East region is too unbalanced. UNC, IU, WVU, Kentucky, and Xavier. That's ridiculous. If you polled experts and fans alike before the bracket was made about who you think would make the final 4, most all those teams would appear. Those teams also just happen to be playing some of their best ball all season. At least one, probably two, of those teams should have been swapped to another region. They need to drop this geographic bullshit and make it more competitively balanced. Give the geographic reward to the 1 seeds but after that it should stop.

I can't get over Oregon State being tied for 6th in the Pac (9-9), and is a #7 seed. I get their SOS etc., but that's still crazy to me.

Pac 12 was really good this season, top 60 Non Conf. SOS, 13 SOS overall, beat SEVEN tournament teams. Glad the committee stuck to their guns and penalized teams that played a weak OOC schedule.

Agreed, they keep claiming they don't really have any idea what will happen, so why wouldn't you try to at least pick an upset or two to make it entertaining?
Rece Davis was the only one. Had Indiana and Purdue making it to the elite 8, with IU making it to the final 4.
