Yep, he's the greatest regular season QB of all time, but let me ask you this. How did he follow up that record setting 49 TD performance he had in 04? He's got a tougher schedule this season, I think it's pretty far fetched to expect the same stats he put up last year.

They are a better team than they were last year. Especially on defense, which gives him the ball back more. Also you went back to look up and find the stats of a season 10 years ago, as what i should be looking at for this year, with a different team entirely? Why would i dignify that with an answer? I guess you would probably go back and research the injuries of that team, or schedule, or find a logical answer to this stupid question.
I have a life, and it does not revolve around fantasy football. I have my strategy, you have yours. It doesnt make sense for everyone to have the same one. I also had Foles last year, like i do this year. I will rotate them based on matchup, like i did last year. Having two QBs, from the most prolific offenses in the NFL today, is a good strategy for me.

Strategy aside, and even though he's a very popular pick, I wouldn't have taken Charles in the Top 12. He started to break down at the end last season, and his only two good games in the last 5 games were against defenses that were atrocious and decimated by injuries. He vanished in their playoff game. He's had a good career, but a hard one too.

Your condescending tone is what pisses me off more than anything. No shit Im not betting on KC. I dont like a rb on a team that I think will be trailing most of the time. I know hes a threat out of the back field, but in case you forgot, (i hope i sound like as big of an ass as you) 4 of his 7 receiving tds came in one freak game against Oak. He only had 4 games over 100 yds rushing. He's really good, but i can stalk the waiver wire, like i always have, and pick up someone, when someone else gets hurt. I picked up Knowshon last year on waivers in three leagues and he was a gold mine. So keep pretending that you know everything as fact, and that if you draft the best rb the seasons is a lock for you.
There is a level of luck that comes into play also. If get on the bad or good side of it, thats where you stay sometimes.

How can you have a tone on the internet? Also, everyone will be scavenging on the waiver wire.

Anyway, the Broncos defense got better, but the offense lost decker, opposing teams have a year of the broncos offense on tape and can make adjustments, and with a better defense, and manning won't need to throw 55 TDs to get the one seed this year.

Oh and there's luck involved in fantasy football? I had no idea.... (Okay I heard the tone there). I am just presenting my argument as to why taking manning with the second pick is a terrible idea.

Brian has a strategy and he is sticking to it. I think it's a out dated strategy but well see in the end I guess.

Are you referring to me? My strategy isn't outdated... It changes every year, except I follow to simple rules...

1. Don't take vanity positions in the first few rounds (QB and TE).

2. Stack my team with as many elite players as possible starting with RB, then WR, then QB, then TE, then the rest.

Those are fair points, but as you can see by my roster, I disagree.

It's gonna be a fun FF season with you guys. New school VS old school. I got a feeling I will be a better 2nd half team. I got a few guys I expect to be starting by then. I love the different stratagems being deployed. Hey fuggie you got your reading glasses on? read this... (I'm taking home the gold this year.) New school style, no charge for the lesson old friend. Emphasis on old.

Haha! Right, if I remember right, you're the old man, old timer.

I also thought I would post how a third party site rates our teams. I uploaded our league to fantasy pros and they ranked the teams in our league. The rankings are as follows....

1. Team Glenn
2. Cali Cubzzz
3. You're ugly
4. I don't miss Lovie smith
5. Omaha Fatties
6. Peters Penetrators
7. Greatest fantasy team on turf
8. Buddhas Bears
9. Team Tourette's
10. Noon Bearscathirty

Take it for what it's worth, I thought it was interesting. They don't seem to have much faith in your team, noon.

And I'm clearly not the tenth worst team talent wise. Maybe the tenth worse run game. Top 5 pass. Great D. good STs Plus great coaching.

I dunno, I think those rankings are very close to the truth. You got a great QB and defense, middling receivers, terrible running backs, and an average tight end and kicker.

Jeffery has talent, but everyone in this forum knows cutler will be looking for Marshall all year.

It doesn't matter where they rank you now though, it matters who takes the cake at the end of the season.

-Decker + Sanders
opposing teams had a year, last year
Even more rules slanted toward receivers = better possibility of yards/points/receptions.

That site is obviously wrong because my team sucks and should have been ranked even lower than #10

You're right, I keep forgetting last year was mannings second year in Denver. Either way I'm expecting ~4,500 yards and ~35 TDs from Peyton this year. Anyway, it'll be an interesting year. I like my team, but I think there are better teams in the league. Well see who's right by seasons end.

On another note, I can't wait to trounce your team in weak one.

What's an AV bet?

The photo that i have next to my posts. its like an avatar. You dont currently have one, but if i lose, you can pick anything for me to sport there, likewise if i win, you have to put up the av of my choosing. It has to be safe for work, but could be a bit embarrassing. You in?
