Made the mistake of opening tsn.ca this morning. Apparently there is concern over the random, vicious and unprovoked attack on McJesus. Soucy should be banned for life apparently.

With the Oilers playing McDavid and Draisaitl essentially half the game, back-to-back games would definitely favour the Canucks. Not to mention Bouchard was over 31 minutes played last night, he was likely too exhausted to put up much resistance when Soucy and Zadorov did the Malachi Crunch on McDavid.

I have to laugh at the tweet coming from a guy with the handle SabresBuzz, it reminds me of the time when Lucic hit Ryan Miller and the Sabres did nothing in response to an opposing player assaulting their goalie. Also, did he miss the part where McDavid initiated the whole sequence with his two-handed on Soucy?!? I see he posted the clip that omitted that part.

Greg Buttons is calling for a Soucy suspension - It does look bad when you review the clip. It is the league's best player and I can see Soucy sitting for a game (maybe two).

Always makes me nervous to pin it all on the goalie (except Freddy. Freddy is Freddy). That D corps in Edmonton is not great. Not sure Silovs would fare much better, tbh. But I guess that is what the EV stat is supposed to filter out.

You are absolutely correct that the Oilers defense corps (Ekholm is the outlier, Kulak also has been fine) have not been helping Skinner. That Nurse contract might be the worst one in Alberta (and the team I cheer for has Huby at an even larger number lol).
