As a FSU fan, I watched a lot of games from the ACC. Fuller played well but he was inconsistent. He will need some time to develop. Was he a good pick? Yes. But I don't think he should be a first round pick.

Who do you take there then?

No way you take a safety at 14. Dude better be fucking Ed Reed.

Only knock on Ego I've heard was his speed. How fast does a d tackle have to be? Just keep yer motor running & plug the middle - with size, technique & desire - which I would assume an SEC baller could provide.

We'll pick again in about 12 more spots. Let's go secondary again. What you say?

He only had one sack in his college career but I understand he is great against the run. With the vets the Bears have on the DLine he could learn a lot. This could turn out to be a good pick for the Bears, but right now it is too soon to predict.

It appears that the pool of safetys that are left is thin - so I wouldn't be opposed to grabbing a quick, agile will LB and and show him Ronnie Lott film.

If showing young players film of legendary players made them great. I would have been the next coming of Jesus on a football field. Seeing as I watched Walter Payton footage every night before I went to bed as a child.

I'm getting my message boards confused. So much for being a superfan. This board seems to be much less meatball then the other board I was on. (**********- a meltdown of epic proportions: I think there is yet another "fire emery thread".)

Well - we do need to shore up the Safety spot, but I'd still go D Line if there's someone there.
McCullers of Tennessee or Coleman from Cal

On the knocks on Ego... Some are saying that he only started 12 games... Well Emery drafted an OLinemen with only 4 starts and he just made the probowl!! I trust Phil, I'm eager to see what Ego can do in a nice rotation.

I like that value!!! Will Sutton in the 3rd round is a steal... in his junior year he was a BEAST! He added weight and didn't have a great season last year, but quick 3tech player. GOOD pick- Dline is done now... Go offense depth tomorrow. GO BEARS!

13 sacks two seasons ago. from an interior lineman. (only 2 or 3 last year with the extra weight)
Young, Allen, Houston, Paea, Collins, Ratliff... Ego Ferguson, and Will Sutton... That's not bad. IMO. 8 guys. Emery has "fixed" the Oline in one offseason (still need some depth, but it worked last year) and now it looks like he's at least attempted to "fix" the Dline with some good/great free agents. The defense is now better then it was at the end of last season. bar none. Go Bears!

Hey it worked once, so lets only draft guys that started only 4 games! We would have a whole draft full of pro bowlers!

:bullshit:

I like the picks, but before we anoint "the fix" as having arrived, maybe let them actually play a few downs first.

Run stopping DT and a passing down DT. Hopefully they can make an impact.

Or, at least sign a contract and show up at a mini-camp.

We have people (well, a person) deeming our guys busts, and then some calling them saviors.

Meanwhile, they're just starting their draft celebrations with friends and family. Man… sports fans are assholes.

and now it looks like he's at least attempted to "fix" Let's look at what I said one more time, Shall we? The words "attempted" and then I put the word fix in quotation marks... that implies that I felt that he, Emery, did what he needed to do in order to help the team. Thanks again though Cubzzz. I like this little battle we have going on.

Question for the board: Without looking it up, can anyone tell me the team that "won" the draft last year... AND how they actually did in the season? I'll give you 5 minutes to reply.
I know the draft is eagerly anticipated, Cheered/Jeered. All this is speculation and that's the point I'm making with sarcasm and a little fun. It's all in good fun people. GO Bears!
