Series Thread: Second Round: Boston Bruins vs Columbus Blue Jackets

Two big, heavy teams. Both deep, both solid defensively and both capable of squeezing the life out of an opponent. Hope it's a solid series.

Some things that will definitely happen:
- Someone will take a stupid penalty at the wrong time and shift the momentum
- When this happens it will be PROOF of a conspiracy against the team by the NHL
- There will be goals called back.
- Pierre will have one hell of a time naming any PeeWee coach from France or Denmark
- Coach Rick (Kuraly's dad) will have a hard time believing that his boy is in the second round and playing on Nationwide ice.
- Either Bobrovsky or Rask will the be the story. Good or bad.

This should be a fun series, Jackets should have a edge off the hop on the rest factor alone, I have a feeling that this one will go 7 games and Oliver 'Big Game' Bjorkstrand will score the series winner in Boston.

CBJ in 6. Boston was done after the Leaf series last year, since history has been repeating itself to date figure this won't be any different.

The plusses for the Jackets are:
They have rest
They just got a big, mean defenseman that no one knows anything about
They still have nothing to lose as no one expects them to be here anyway
They have three guys who were with Boston in the last year (Yes, I am counting Rick Nash).

The Plusses for Boston:
Pasternak and Bergeron are about as good as it gets when it comes to complete hockey players. Skill, Grit, and Heart.
So much of their core has been here before. They are built for this.
They are not afraid to cross into nasty to swing a series.

I picked them to win it all in my bracket so I have to stick with them but I like Columbus and I’m excited they were able to get their fans a series win. I wouldn’t mind seeing them do it again.
