Anyone know if leaving NAFTA would spike gas even more here?

The Ontario PC's and NDP are both saying they're going to make gas cheaper (Ford's saying everyone gets 10 cents off and Horvath's saying it'll be cheaper on the weekend, neither is saying how lol) and they're leading the polls 2 weeks out from election day. Can't imagine that'll help JT's numbers less than a year and a half out from the federal election.

/i would guess theyll probably get the gas down 10 cents by reducing the Ont. provincial gas tax ... and claw it back from somewhere else ... they should consult the BC NDP, theyll show them how to do that

BC had 5 straight balanced budgets to work from though. Ontario's was just balanced (and both the Libs and NDP are promising to plunge it back into deficit) and the highest non-sovereign debt in North America. Ditching gas tax money + cap & trade (like the PC wants to do) seems like a good recipe to..

Higher gas prices also increases profits and the Republican campaign war chest in an election year. Happened in 2008, then about 2-3 months before election time, prices dropped artificially low so people could claim that Bush was doing a good job with the economy and middle east oil.

Mark my words, it'll happen this year too. Rising prices throughout the summer (more than just for the summer blend), and then a steep drop in the fall.
