Sometimes I like to think that Nell Carter, Dolph Sweet, and Joey Lawrence are all together in the afterlife reminiscing about the glory days of Gimme A Break!

Except that they are not dead and part of the DEEP STATE.

How I imagine the inquiry went:
Trump Commission: States, give us the names of everyone who voted illegally.
States: What? We can't find any proof that anyone did.
TC: I saw a Breitbart report that they did. That is evidence. Give the names
S: But, other than the rantings of some guy who's lost his mind, what proof do you have?
TC: A feeling
S: We need more. Like we said we have investigated and can't find any cases of any votes being dismissed for even being suspicious. We have rules and regulations and laws-
TC: WAAAAH! THEY WON'T COOPERATE!!!

They were disbanded because there were so many lawsuits piling up against them.

Lawyers: You're welcome. ;)

Oh this is fucking good.

Donald Trump Didn’t Want to Win – and Neither Did His Campaign

Shortly after 8 p.m. on Election Night, when the unexpected trend — Trump might actually win — seemed confirmed, Don Jr. told a friend that his father, or DJT, as he calls him, looked as if he had seen a ghost. Melania was in tears—and not of joy.

I'm just gonna say this, if this Michael Wolff is in any way shape or form full of shit or doesn't have most of this shit on tape, people may never pay attention to traditional news outlets ever again.

If I'm not mistaken, Wolff has a bit of a reputation in the industry for being more "truthy" than truthful, so I'm going to hold off for corroboration before I buy this as fact.

Yeah, I heard from an expert on CNN (when asked by the anchor if people should be skeptical) and a Washington Post article yesterday to take the book with a grain of salt. It's weird. It's like they're journalists or something.

In any case, they are Fake News, so people should probably just believe everything in it!

Cool! Who needed clean drinking water anyway?

Repeat previously mentioned 18-month macro lag.

In all honesty, I'd love to know what regulations are being cited as creating this. For starters, once regulations are changed, it often takes years for companies to adjust. New strategies have to be discussed, adopted, implemented, etc. That's how, ya know, fucking things work.

But seriously, there haven't been that many regulatory changes that have taken place and very few significant ones. Not to mention, how did 2013 outperform 2017 if it was well into "regulation burdened" Obama's presidency?

Talk in generalizations and stupid people will follow.

Chappelle's new special is really good. I liked the set he put out a few months ago, but I thought "Equanimity" was his best of the series.

He summed up my feelings pretty well here:

Rich guys push the stock market up or down for the most part. This news (of course) has almost nothing to do with economic realities that are faced by a huge portion of the American people.

Oh and that 18 month thing.

If the Trump campaign actually didn't want to win, though, I think it provides an interesting direction to thinking about the Russian interference/collusion thing. What was the point of colluding with Russia if they didn't actually want to get Trump elected?

From Russia's perspective, it's obvious, because their intentions don't change in that scenario; it's still about undermining American institutions to weaken the country.

From Trump's perspective, I can think of two possibilities:

1. He also wanted to undermine American institutions, somehow for personal profit. Whether that meant the Russians were simply paying him for his compliance (or providing other assets), or he thought business would be better in an environment in which American institutions were undermined, I don't know, but he wouldn't have to win to achieve that.

That would also explain why he continues to act to undermine American institutions in his presidency. He didn't want to be there, but Russia may still be paying him given this ongoing opportunity, or he may simply be seizing the opportunity for himself.

2. The Trump campaign was actually mostly divided on whether or not they wanted him to win, and some members of the campaign took measures to this end. Perhaps Trump and members of his campaign agreed to the collusion seeing it was an opportunity to improve his personal brand even in defeat in the election, but others were all about getting that blowhard in office, and they did just that.

I think it's interesting to think of the Russia probe in the context of not actually trying to win the election in general. But again, I'm not convinced their goal was in fact not to win. Trump's ego makes that hard for me to buy.

The excerpt from the book mentioned that trump was planning a cable news network ... and iirc ... in the days prior to the election ... this idea of Trump starting a news network was also "out there" in the public realm ... a country in disarray with people questioning the govt and living in fear is what Fox is built on ... it would have been what the Trump News Network would have been built on too

Honestly, shocked they were allowed in the first place. Not like anything sensitive is ever discussed there.

I have to surrender my mobile when I go into the Ohio AG's crime lab. We're talking about the fucking white house here.

Hey!! We can't have anyone knowing what whether the alpha male prefers to get 2 16 piece KFC bucket meals or if he's dieting and going with just one 20 piece meal.

Who knows what the libtard terrorists could do with that kind of information. Wake up little snoozy!!
