I'm rooting for him, always been a fan and wanted him to get a shot, but to say he's pitched well before tonight is wrong, his WHIP was almost as high as his ERA, but you could see the flashes of potential

Hopefully this is the Robbie Ross we see more of going forward

Pitched good enough to only allow 2 runs through 3 starts... been a pretty solid reliever for us too.

I understand what you're asking. But I'm not sure - even though what you described did indeed just happen - this was it. I think/thought the idea was "do not waste the positive performance by Ross."

Been wrong before, but I sure didn't want to put Ross in a potentially losing situation myself.
