And for the record... Arizona's weather is as perfect as it gets during any month not named June, July or August. Even during those three months girls walk around wearing practically nothing. Win-win situation. It's 50 degrees here right now... enjoy shoveling snow bitches!!! :suds:

It rarely snows in Seattle.

And where do people get this suicide thing from? Nevada is #1 in suicides in the nation by a long shot.

Edit: I live in Richmond VA now and it gets more snow than Seattle.

I'd commit suicide in Washington (like allot of other people who live there).

Actually Arizona, New Mexico, California and Nevada all have higher suicide rates than Washington State.

I've got nothing against any of those places mind you (my folks live in Phoenix and I was born in L.A.) I just don't know where that myth came from that people like to kill themselves in Seattle.

It seems like living in the desert makes people more prone to suicide than a few clouds.

Dry, dusty, barren land? Clearly you haven't been to Arizona. :L

Glendale AZ annual averages 8" rain, 0" snow, 30 days out of the year are precipitation days, and 0.13% of land is water. I wasn't talking about AZ the state, just where the Cards play.

???? Snow is enjoyable and when it does snow it's only a couple inches and only occurs maybe 5-6 times a year at most.

AZ has three cities in the top 15 of highest suicide rates in the US which is more than any other state.

Snow in the Seattle are is usually great. A two inch dusting then it melts before it becomes a nuisance. You get to sled for a day or two then everything gets back to normal.

It's alright, let these fuckers keep thinking that it's miserable up here in the great northwest, less traffic.

Not saying he's right (he may have exaggerated a little) but you couldn't pay me to live in that state. My sis lives in Gilbert and my daughter escaped last year after graduating from college. Everytime I visit it just baffles me that anyone ever thought it was a good idea to settle there. But different strokes I guess.

Wierd thread.

Today it hit a sunny 50 in Arlington, Wa for about half the afternoon.
Other than that, a slight drizzle.
I like both states. My wife and I have a vacation home in Avondale, just outside of Phoenix. We visit in the winter whenever we can which isn't enough yet.

the ones who trash it up here are generally the ones i'd least like to see anyway, so it all works out great.

i've lived all over the country from california (northern and southern, coastal and central) to new york to virginia to north carolina, and nothing compares to the olympic peninsula for me. it's spectacular.

To be clear, I wasn't directing that towards Seattle. I was just saying that in general.

It's also ranked as having the most spray tanned males walking around in Affliction shirts. Even more than New Jersey. Disturbing statistic for sure. No wonder so many decide to end their lives.

Spray tans? Those don't even exist here. Just live here for a couple days and you'll get a tan.

I know, I've lived here for nearly two decades now. I've always found it amusing that the schools shutdown for a couple inches of snow while in AK the buses would run in a 1 ft + of snow with no problem.

I live in St. Louis, and I think Seattle has a major homeless problem. That should tell you something. It's a beautiful Metro area, but it's hard to consider it a great, walkable city when you are outnumbered by homeless people anywhere Downtown after dark. Crime rates are deceiving because they tend to target people that choose to live a certain lifestyle. FWIW, i'd feel much safer in Chicago than I would in Seattle. Seattle is a very nice city, but it's not the nirvana (pun somewhat intended) that people think it is.
