Kinda seems like the Dodgers have held and continue to hold the leverage regarding a Darvish trade.
LAD sending signals they are more into getting relief help. Might be a ploy to get Claudio thrown in the deal.Yeah 42 minutes still. But if LAD won't give up a top guy for a top pitcher, then screw them.
Get ready for a good dose of HandicappersJust doesn't look good at the moment
Yeah. Sure it wasn't for lack of trying. Not a good JD day so far.Get ready for a good dose of Handicappers
Hope to hell he is reasonable. We don't need another 7 year contract. Choo has us hamstrung since signing. He and Fielder. If JD doesn't trade Yu, I would say that is a very strong indicator that they intend to go all-in and re-sign him this offseason. For if they were even thinking about not bringing him back, it wouldn't make any sense at all for JD to hold onto him and then just let him walk for nothing (even if the current trade offers are weak). If you've decided that he's too expensive/old for a big commitment this offseason, you absolutely have to take what you can get for him now.
The worst possible scenario, both for JD's legacy and the Rangers in general, would be to hold on to Yu at the deadline and then watch him sign elsewhere in the offseason.
At this point, it looks like all-in on the Darvish/Otani duo.
